Johannes Brahms emphasized compassion, hope and love in this musical mediation on the human experience. Composer-in-residence Austin Wintory (composer of the award winning soundtrack to PS3 game Journey) will hear the world premiere of the second in his “Existence” Trilogy.

*Concert Prelude: A pre-concert discussion will be held in which Composer-in-Residence Austin Wintory will discuss tonight’s piece, his work in film and games (such as the recently-released game “Journey,” the score for which set the all-time record on Billboard for sales of an original video game soundtrack album) and the creative process for a 21st century composer.
