Music Prodigies and Parents

Boulder Symphony Music Academy’s Music Prodigies and Parents teaches your toddler or preschooler fundamental music skills through interactive games, instruments, musical crafts, body percussion, and voice exploration. Your child will simultaneously develop their capacity to work in a team, cooperate, and grow their imagination. By participating in this class with your child, you will have the chance to deepen your connection, learn more about one another, and help them feel emotionally supported.

The relationship between you and your child will deepen, as you will have the opportunity to learn more about one another and spend quality time together. This program allows children to explore different instruments, which in turn, primes them for more focused musical study as they get older.

In each class, your child will:

• Explore rhythm
• Develop coordination
• Make and notice patterns
• Sing and vocalize
• Learn song structures and dynamics
• Improve auditory focus and listening skills
• Improvise, play, innovate, creatively express
• Work individually and in a group

Through participating in these classes, you and your child will have the opportunity to nurture both halves of the brain, explore all areas of holistic development (social, emotional, creative, language, and physical, mental), and increase self-esteem in a supportive learning environment.
