BOULDER, Colo. June 13, 2023 — Kicking off its 2023-2024 season, Boulder Symphony is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated July 4th Concert Celebration, taking place at the iconic Boulder Bandshell, located at 1212 Canyon Boulevard. The event promises an unforgettable evening of music, as attendees gather to celebrate Independence Day with a sensational performance. The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. and conclude at 8:30 p.m., allowing attendees to also enjoy the drone show at Folsom Field just down the street.

This year’s July 4th Concert Celebration will be an exceptional experience for all guests. Boulder Symphony has curated a program of music that will captivate and inspire audiences of all ages. The concert will feature an array of beloved compositions, showcasing the incredible talent and passion of the symphony’s musicians.

Audience members will be swept away by the soaring melodies of the “Star Spangled Banner” as the concert opens, setting the stage for an evening of musical brilliance. The program will include captivating classical pieces, such as Rossini’s Overture from William Tell and Bernstein’s Overture from Candide, and cinematic music from Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Star Wars, The Mandalorian, and Star Trek. The concert will conclude with a grand finale, featuring Tchaikovsky’s awe-inspiring 1812 Overture and John Philip Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes.”

Boulder Symphony is proud to have Alpine Bank as the presenting sponsor for this exceptional event. The concert is also held in partnership with Boulder Arts in the Park, further highlighting the collaborative spirit of the local arts community. This amazing collaboration shows the immense appreciation and importance that the people of Boulder place on world-class music-making.”

Tickets for the concert are $15 for general admission adults and $5 for general admission children under 16. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure their seats, as this is a highly popular event that has sold out the past two years. There will also be seating at the base of the stage for those who want to bring their own lawn chairs and sit in the front row. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase refreshments from the beverage stand and food from a local wood-fired pizza truck on site.
