Wunderkind pianist Patrick Orr joins Boulder Symphony from home to kick off the LIVE Virtual Virtuoso series! Tune in to hear Patrick discuss and perform Rachmaninoff Prelude in B minor, Schumann-Liszt “Widmung”, and the thrilling Liszt Sonata in B minor. Catch up on Patrick’s previous interview and performance via a digital house concert this spring.

Partnership with Balfour Residential Assisted Living

To celebrate our partnership with Balfour Residential Assisted Living, Boulder Symphony arranged for a special Mother’s Day video. We went into the homes of many of our Boulder Symphony musicians, who shared uplifting music messages with their families for the members of Balfour Residential Assisted Living. All musical works were written by composers reminiscing about their childhood or writing on behalf of their mother and the residents were extremely moved by the performance.

Orchestrated With Love Dinner Series

We want to keep the tradition alive of getting a bite to eat before a concert and supporting our favorite restaurants, so we have partnered with local eateries to create a curbside musical dining experience! This fundraiser for Boulder Symphony will feature a musical menu with one musician performing. Let us know what you think of the dishes; so far we have seen Brahms broccoli, Chopin cupcakes, and more!

Once you get home with your dinner, you will receive a link to watch a performance by Boulder Symphony musicians. Our first curbside dinner and concert occurred on May 23 at Niwot Tavern. We sold-out of tickets and are very grateful for all of you who came out to support us. Help us keep the tradition alive of getting a bite to eat before a concert and supporting our favorite local restaurants. Stay tuned for additional curbside dinners and at-home digital concerts to be announced.

Our favorite mascot is out of quarantine and made a surprise visit at the curbside dinner fundraiser as well as visiting some of Boulder Symphony’s loyal supporters like Art Cleaners, Alpine Bank, and Sushi Zanmai.
