Alexi Whitsel
Violinist Alexi Whitsel has been featured at such festivals as the Castleman Quartet Program, New York String Orchestra Seminar, and LyricaBoston’s LyricaFest. He performs in the Boulder Symphony, Boulder Philharmonic, and Boulder Chamber Orchestra. He earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music where he studied with Dallas Symphony concertmaster Alexander Kerr. His most influential coaches include soloist Charles Castleman and Takács Quartet founding member Károly Schranz. As an educator, Alexi maintains a private studio and serves as a violin instructor at Boulder Symphony Music Academy. He plays a 1910 Heberlein.
