Beach Helterbrand is a CPA in Boulder with 15 years of accounting and tax experience. He has been an owner of Sopris Consulting, a Boulder CPA firm, since 2018 and has worked as the CFO for multiple regional and national startups and medium-sized businesses. Currently, in addition to his CPA firm, he runs a startup VR film production company and serves as the CFO for a Boulder-based augmented reality design software company, Quadrobee.
Beyond Boulder Symphony & Music Academy, Beach serves on the There With Care YP Board and previously served on the UTSouthwestern Moncrief AYA Cancer Advisory Council.
When not working, Beach enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Rebecca, and their border collie rescue, Clyde. He also enjoys skiing, golfing, cycling, and watching college football.
While considerably lacking in musical talent, he has long been a lover and supporter of classical music and the arts. While living in Fort Worth, Texas, he fell in love with live classical music by attending performances by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra eventually becoming a donor and season ticket patron. Beach is excited to join the Boulder Symphony & Music Academy Board as Treasurer and looks forward to helping grow the symphony, music academy, and local classical music community.
