Bridget Ryan

Bridget Ryan grew up in Davis, Illinois and received her B.A. in Dance and International Studies from Denison University in 2019. Bridget has presented choreography at the Detroit Dance City Festival’s Choreographers Showcase and at Rooted Residency Boulder. She has additionally trained with and performed works by Molly Shanahan, Sandra Mathern-Smith, Michael J. Morris, Momar Ndiaye, Umeshi Rajeendra, and Julie Fox. To further her work in arts administration, she has spent time working with the Chicago Human Rhythm Project, Mark Morris Dance Group, and American Dance Festival. In 2020, Bridget served as a Visiting Lecturer of Contemporary Dance at the University of Visual and Performing Arts in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Bridget moved to Boulder in 2022 and began working with the Boulder Symphony & Music Academy shortly thereafter. She enjoys combining the creativity and curiosity from dance with the more logical aspects of nonprofit work to support her in the role of Director of Education and Community Outreach.

In addition to her work with BS&MA, Bridget dances with Wild Heart Dance and also teaches trauma-sensitive vinyasa and yin yoga at Yoga Pearl in downtown Boulder.
