Dana Vachharajani is the Chorus Master and Education Consultant for the Boulder Symphony. In 2015, she helped build the opera chorus for Boulder Symphony’s La Bohème and will continue to lead the chorus for future productions. She also is a co-creator of the Boulder Symphony Curiosity Concert series, bringing experiential learning of symphonic music to young people. Dana’s career has spanned singing in top venues, teaching in public and private schools, and building her own private music school, Dana V. Music, in Louisville, Colorado.
A graduate of Carnegie Mellon and the Juilliard School, her selected performances include a solo performance of the Mira Bai Songs in Alice Tully Hall, various pieces with the Boulder Bach Festival, the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Boulder Ballet, as well as many recitals as a touring artist with the Piatagorsky Foundation. She also performed as soloist for the Aspen Chamber Symphony, New Jersey Symphony, and as a featured soloist at Carnegie Hall.
For more than the past seven years, she has proudly served on the Artistic Staff of Boulder Symphony where she has taken great pride in assisting with the development and writing of their colorful Curiosity Concert series for children.
Dana currently teaches voice at Dana V. Music. She is also the head of Teacher and Program Development for Ensemble Music Schools. There, she oversees the development of the over 800 talented and nurturing teachers that are at the heart of their organization, as well as overseeing the pedagogical growth in each of their schools, which is sustaining positive music education through private music study around the United States.
When she is not teaching, she spends time enjoying her family, husband Manish, daughter Anjali, sons Kiran and Devin, and their Aussie Kit.
