Eponine Bell

Eponine Bell is a soprano vocalist based in Colorado. She is currently studying at the University of Colorado Boulder pursuing a Bachelors of Music Education with a Choral Emphasis and a Certificate in Singing Health along with independent studies in vocal pedagogy.

Eponine is a classically trained coloratura soprano with a passion for teaching! She has had many important mentors along the way. Through her instruction at the University of Colorado Boulder she has studied voice under Dr. Abigail Nims and Dr. Julie Simson. During her time in Oregon, Eponine studied voice with Angelina Anello-Dennee. Congruent with her performing studies, Eponine’s conducting studies have been led by Dr. Elizabeth Swanson.

Eponine’s recent projects include directing the pit orchestra for Synthesis Theatre’s production of American Idiot the Musical in which she also played the cello. She has performed with the National Festival Chorus in Carnegie Hall under the direction of Dr. Swanson. In the past year she has also performed with CU’s University Choir and Chamber Singers Choir.

Eponine’s teaching practicum has taken her to Boulder High School and University Hill Elementary where she studied under Kelly Carmichael and Kimberly Alspaugh, respectively. She is thrilled to be continuing her practicum at University Hill Elementary this Fall with a focus on differentiating education.

When not teaching music or practicing voice, Eponine can usually be found on the slopes alpine skiing or crushing her friends in card games!
