
Joeli is a Dallas native and graduate of Texas Tech University. During her time at Texas Tech, she served as principal of the University Symphony Orchestra and Symphonic Wind Ensemble and performed with the Contemporary Music Ensemble. Joeli was also a founding member of the “Tumblewinds” undergraduate woodwind quintet, which performed at Texas Music Educators Association in February 2022, premiering the piece “Adipocere” by emerging composer Austin Perry. Recently, she was a finalist in the Texas Tech woodwind concerto competition and has been appointed principal flute of the Lakewood Symphony Orchestra. Joeli’s primary teachers include Dr. Lisa Garner Santa, Dr. Spencer Hartman, and Dr. Julee Kim Walker. Joeli is now pursuing a master’s in flute performance at the University of Colorado Boulder with Christina Jennings, where she serves as the flute studio graduate teaching assistant and actively performs with the CU Wind Symphony and Symphony Orchestra.
